My first costume

Last year was my first real go at creating a costume. Unfortunately I don't have many shots of the overall creation.

The character came from the 2009 sci-fi film District 9. I learned quite a bit from the process. Most of the hard parts of the costume were built from plaster bandages overlayed with a self thickening liquid plastic from smooth on.

The hand was crafted from a rubber that I got through smooth on as well. Unfortunately during most of the work I did on this project I wasn't thinking of documenting the process.
